CSS Popup Image Viewer

Author: Dynamic Drive

Enable arbitrary links or image thumbnails to pop up an enlarged (different) image onMouseover by using this CSS code. With the help of CSS's ":hover" pseudo class, combined with relative and absolute positioning, the enlarged images are simply included on the page as normal HTML, "popping" up on demand. CSS is behaving more and more like scripting!

Demo:

One of my favorite foods is sushi
Doesn't this look good?
, and it's good for you too! Coffee and sushi probably don't mix well, but I like some Zoka Coffee
Zoka Coffee
to boot! Here are some thumbnails from my trip to La la land:

Simply beautiful.

So real, it's unreal. Or is it?

Hi
Is there a way of rolling over an image to display a large block of text?

Hi All, I'm experincing a problem with IE regarding this script. First is in IE it loads very slowly but not in firefox. Also in IE6 the enlarged image doesn't show at all. But IE7 it does. You can see it in the url I mentioned.

For large image to show in IE6 you must keep href="#thumb" intact. I've had the same problem. This also renders differently in IE6 than in IE7 & FF2 or FF3. I'm still tweeking mine.
jlyweb.com/Porter2.html is IE7, FF2 & FF3 compatable, but fails in IE6
jlyweb.com/Porter3.html is tweeked for IE6, but looks funky on IE7, FF2 & FF3 (all the browers I've got available to me)

This is nice, and preloading would make it even better.

stylesheet2 because I also used the lightbox script and viewer.css because that's how I called the stylsheet i've made at the root of the folder.
