Hvmenu invisible images

Hi there, I am using the hvmenu script. I am having a little problem trying to get images to show in the top level of the menu tree in netscape and also safari (Mac), the sublevels still show if you hover over the empty spaces! It works fine in IE.

An example is below. I also couldn't get the mylocation variable (added as the site is made up of relative links) to work with the image location - hence the absolute path.

Menu3=new Array("<img src='/ists/images/nav/button_r3_c1.gif'>",mylocation + "mission.htm","",4,37,200);
Menu3_1=new Array("Origin of the ISTS",mylocation + "mission.htm","",0,20,150);
Menu3_2=new Array("The Board",mylocation + "board.htm","",0);

Any help on the image thing or the variable issue would be gratefully received , apologies in advance if I am making daft errors, I am at the simpleton end of the market!
