Form quandary.
I guess I will start with the usual disclaimer about how I am a newb. I usually try to figure out my own way to do things, but if someone could give advice on an efficient way to accomplish what I want, I would be oh so grateful.
That over with, I am looking for a way to have guests on my website reserve advance 'tickets' to indie shows that I run. What I would like to do is have a simple form to collect their email address to advertise for upcoming shows. I am looking for a way to collect their addresses into some sort of easily accessible file for future use, and upon receiving their address, redirect them to a page or a pop-up with the 'ticket' on it.
I realize that this could be easily abused, but that's not a big problem to me. If people distribute these themselves, that makes me happy as well. But if there were some way to automatically add their recently collected information to the printable ticket, that would be fantastic. Or if there was some way to make the submission of the form a requirement for accessing the 'ticket'.
If anyone out there has any suggestions or thoughts on this, please share!
Thank you.

This can't be done with HTML. You will need a server-side language installed and enabled on your server.
Do you have any?

Argh..
My site is hosted by freeservers, and apparently my package doesn't include PHP, Perl/CGI or MySQL support. Blast.
Is there a dhtml alternative? Maybe even dumbed down?
I guess I will have to upgrade.
Thanks again for your help.

Afraid not. You need server-side scripting to store the data.
