    Default Scrolling Problem

I probably sound very stupid in asking this.. because it is probably very simple to do, or you can't do it..anyway, This is the first site that I have done in CSS, and I am very new to it in every way. The scroll bar that I use in every one of the divs looks very bad with my background, and sticks out like a sore thumb.. what I am asking is if there is any way to make the scroll bar invisible to where all you can see is the arrows? I have tried useing overflow:hidden, but that only made it cut off the text. If there is some way to make the scroll bars invisible, and someone will help me it would be much appriciated.

That is the same code that I was useing already, I appriciate it though. I am more or less just looking for a code that might make the scroll bar invisible or something like that.
