DHTML Slideshow Script -filters?

I am using the DHTML slideshow script in my site and it looks great in safari and netscape but in IE has filters/effects which my client is going to find undesirable. Is there a way to modify the script to lose the filter effects but keep the functionality of the slideshow? Also, can the script be modified to make the images loop instead of stopping at the first and last image? thanks for any assistance you can give me!
This is my first time using this forum...maybe including the code would help? I hope I'm not eating up too much space....
