Overflow problem with main content area
The latest web project I've been working on has turned out to be rather confusing, mainly as I'm tring to get more confident with my css skills.
The overall design has forced me to make maybe a few to many divs? and at the moment I'm having trouble with the main conent area in FF..
Basically I've got all the main content in a div called .full_back which sits in an id wrapper div called #content_wrap
I've recently added an overflow:hidden to the .full_back div which hasn't helped. I've also tried the same on the content_wrap, again no joy
Here's the page as it stands which is fine in IE... http://www.clippergems.com/test2.html
I really hope you can help, many thank,
Use the clear property to push the case study navigation below the text and remove the overflow declaration. I'm not actually sure why you're floating that text in the first place.

thanks very much for your reply.. the float on the .left755 was something I forgot to remove from the 2 column layout I was working on! cheers
I've tried putting a clear on the navigation below the content div (.left755) though it didn't help. I also removed the overflow...
Is it best to re-work the div layout ?
You still have an explicit height property specified for the containing div element, as well as the overflow: hidden property declaration. Remove them both.
Sorry I didn't upload the change as I was trying your suggestions in FF locally. I've uploaded the page taking out the height property from the main containing wrapper (#content_wrap) and the overflow from (.full_back )
Unfortunately the content area hasn't resolved yet in FF though fine in IE?
it seems that unless I give the (.full_back ) a height it wont show the background graphic and the div below are now under the copy half way up the page...
thanks very much for your time,
You are aware that you seem to have doubled the content of your style sheet, right? There are two sections commented 'CONTENT CONTROL', 'COPY CONTROL', etc. That's probably why you're still floating the .left755 div element.
Well spotted Mike!! no excuses there, been using the web developer tool bar in FF and have somehow copyied one to many versions into the same style sheet!!
I've sorted that now and the page has changed a bit though not there yet
are you able to see where I should go next? thanks again Mike
You still have an explicit height declaration in the .left755 class.
Mike, thank you very much for your help that's done the trick..
I can continue onwards now, very pleased to get past this hurdle.
