Default Im a newbie and a basic one at that

    hi

i suppose that i've been on ddrive for awhile now (10 hours straight)

and although i have a flimsy understandiung of dreamweaver at best i've had a bit of success customisng the slide out menus so then i got a bit cocky.

ive been trying to use the HV menu so it controls all the links of my page but i hit a brick wall when im instructed to, for example 'Upload the files "menu.js" and "menucontext.js" into your webpage directory'

i extract the files.if i click on the individual java script codes they open up in dreamweaver they open in in seperate places and i can see the code, just dont know how to incoproate it into, well i would say website, but im not there yet.

i know that this has got to be one of the most basic instructions of html but would appreciate any tips all the same

    cheers
    kerb

p.s if im out of my league here, just say. any idiiot sites for this kinda thing perhaps??

    That's really easy. don't worry.

Just "upload them to the right directory"... meaning you put them in the same folder as your page.

On your harddrive, this will work and you'll have to do the same thing on the web... for your website, you must have "http://...url.../something.htm" and "http://...url.../something.js" in the same place. That's it

    actually no it wasnt

ive set up the index page and saved it
