Does anyone know how to make a browser appear transparent with a script?

No, but on Linux you can use X11's Composite extension.

I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to go for. You can make tables transparent or semi transparent making it able to see the background behind them, but you can't make the entire browser window transluscent.
