Question ajaxcontent: security limitations override possible?

    Hi all,

Is it possible to override the security limitations of ajaxcontent? For use on an intranet I need to include some dynamically generated pages from a different server behind the same firewall but with a different domain name.

has anyone ever tried that? My javascript is well ehm.. bad, but my guess is that it should be possible...

    Thanks and regards,
    Grobbo

Note: Due to security limitations, the external pages loaded must be from the same domain as the encompassing page. Any external .css and .js files associated with these pages, however, can be from any domain.

Nope. Fetch the external content with a server-side script on the same domain.

    Hmmm okay,

Due to a severe crappy I have no possibility to do anything more than JavaScript, otherwise I would have fixed the ** intranet myself 2 years ago

    Thanks anyway.

It's possible to overcome the browser restrictions in Ajax, actually, by implementing a proxy. See here for a tutorial and sample code, from Yahoo YUI.
