Personal project: building site that gathers opening hours

Hi, I've been learning some website languages and have recently given myself a challenge - build a site that gives the user opening times of local businesses around either an input from the user or their browser location, something like this site. Are there any APIs or something similar to that where I can go to get info like that on demand? I'm thinking Google Maps might have something but I've not used Google APIs a whole lot so really don't have a clue where to start! I also haven't used location in anything I've made before, has anyone got some tips relating to that?

I appreciate there's a lot to what I've asked but any advice/tips help!

Yeah,*that's a great idea. However, more and more companies are working remotely at this time, so you can't predict their opening hours.
If these are the big companies, they probably use*software*like Slack, Trello, or even WorkTime.
You can*check*their activity in these programs, even*if they are closed due to CoVID-19.
