    Default Fatal error: MySQL and PHP

    Hello,

    It's the first time I try to use PHP & MySQL in my own PC. I installed MySQl 5.0 and PHP 5.1.2. I made a simple page using a simple dababase, but when I try to see the result I get this error Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_pconnect() in [conect_FILE.php].
    I have been looking on internet and everybody says something different and I have done everything:
    .- I installed the ODBC connector
    .- I include the MySQl bin and PHP in my path
    .- In the php.ini uncomment:
    extension=php_mssql.dll
    extension=php_msql.dll
    extension=msql.dll
    extension=libmySQL.dll
    extension=ntwdblib.dll
    extension=php5apache.dll
    I try with all king of combination.
    I don't know what else I should try.....
    Can any of you help me? I don't know what else to do?!

    I think PHP has to be compiled with MySQL support...
