Hello all,
I apologize if this question is able to be quickly answered, but I'm learning CSS and all the great things that can be done with it. I am using DD Tab Menu II and am simply trying to set the background to another color. By this I mean the space behind the tabs. I have tried using background and background-color tags in #ddimagetabs and also tried creating a body tag. It remains white regardless of what I've tried.

Using the body tag will color all available background area on the page:

The tabs themselves have images as their background, obscuring anything underneath. If you do not like the appearance of the tabs, edit the tab background images in an image program until they look the way you would like.
