Default Is "Background Image Carousel v1.1" responsive design image resizing possible?

I've added Background Image Carousel v1.1 to my home page and it works great, but on mobile devices the images are too big to be viewable upon loading.

Is there a way to make the images recognize they are being viewed on a small screen and resize automatically?

    Thanks!

Do you have <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1"> in the head section of your html?

    Yes, pretty close -- I have the viewport set as: "<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0" />"

    (1.0 instead of 1)
