Google Map Selector - can't get links

In the instructions, the method described for getting the links doesn't work any longer. One can navigate to the map, click SHARE, chose "Embed Map" and then in the example map it shows you, right click on the "view larger map" link, copy that address and then change its https prefix to http, and that link will work in the above script. But I'm a little concerned, as all of the other Google Map links have changed format, these will eventually too.

I've made up a version 2 of this script, added optional persistence to it, and made it easier to have multiple map groups on a page, and set it up to use the newer Google Maps link syntax. See this post for more info:
