Does windows 10 makes our laptop speed slow?

Hello guys I am using windows 8 previously and when i updated to windows 10 my laptop slows down a lot . It takes a lot of time to open browsers and pages . Is it due to windows 10

I don't think it's due to Windows 10. I upgraded from Windows7 to Windows10 and things are even a lot faster now on my laptop.

No it doesn't, you possibly have some spyware or virus/trojan infections. Go try the free ESET scanner https://www.eset.com/int/home/online-scanner/ Use the option on the left that says I want a free one-time scan with ESET Online Scanner

Might be useful information:

While Windows 10 has very slight performance differences, they're not significant enough to slow down the system.

I deleted the original post I'm quoting here due to a homepage violation (it was posted by a first time user who listed as their homepage a spam site).

That said, considering the source, I'd be careful.

To Banterers (the original poster of this above quoted information), if you would delete your spam homepage about condos and not replace it with something equally offensive, we will allow you to participate in this forum. When and if you become an established participant, you can link to almost anything you like, though condos promotion would probably still not be permitted.

Yes, and I think it was more a bid by the person, a first time poster, to get their "homepage" (which was about purchasing condos in Montreal) better search rankings.
