    Default Dreamweaver Question

I have upgraded from Dreamweaver 4 to Dreamweaver 8. All my sites have been developed in Dreamweaver 4. Am I going to have a problem using the files that I developed in Dreamweaver 4 in Dreamweaver 8?

Also, I notice in Dreamweaver 8 there is a choice for Document Type (DTD). When I create a new document, do I just use the XHTML 1.0 transitional? Is that better than using HTML 4.01 Transitional?

    Thanks

I don't know that much about Dreamweaver but from what I do know, I don't think there would be any major problems. However, you should always have backups of your work, even when not changing editors. This is just in case you alter something poorly and want to go back to the last most recent copy that worked and start over. HTML work should be done in HTML 4.01. Only use XHTML for XHTML pages.
