Making a gradient that has been lost in Photoshop CS4

Hello,
My computer crashed and I had custom gradients that I use (Photoshop CS4) for my website: www.rockinrick.us My computer crashed and had not saved a custom gradient. I can't remember where I downloaded it from as it was a few years ago. Can someone advise how to recreate the gradient to look like the attached file?

It looks pretty simple to recreate. Maybe start by going to 'Layer' > 'Layer Style' > 'Gradient Overlay', and select one of the preset gradients - there are a few black and white ones. Then click into the gradient bar to add more colour-stops. Drag them around by the little boxes underneath until the effect looks right on your text. You will probably need to change the angle and also make sure the gradient style is set to 'Linear' in the 'Layer Style' window.

Ultimately there will be a bit of playing around and trial and error on your part though.

I have Photoshop CS2 but this site is pretty cool fr making an easy graphic.

There are a ton of styles. You can change the font and other effects for each style of logo text. Then you can save them when you are done.

Thanks to all the replies. I guess I'll have to try and recreate the gradient from scratch. I've never done this before, so I'm sure it'll take some time. Many thanks again!

I tried to recreate your gradient on my Photoshop but wasn't able to copy it right.

I took a screen dump from your link in Irfanview and separated a 1 pixel wide by 74 pixels high vertical slice through one of your "I" characters. This was saved as raw data and converted to text in HxD. The resulting RGB hex data can be found here (each triplet is one pixel of RGB data). You may need to delete the first two and last two pixels as they are just black. Although the gradient appears as monochrome it is actually slightly biassed towards Cyan.
