Applying timer to tooltip

Please advise how i would apply a timer where the duration for timer shown can be changed to suit.
Make the selection then click Info.
On the pc the timer is gone on hoover.
On the ios device you need to click Info button but then stays visable until you click somewhere on the page

I have applied a timer now but have an issue with it if you could check my code.

Tool tip is set for auto hide after 5 seconds.
The issue i have is tool tip stays on screen and does not auto hide.
This is for ios device.
