    Default Rendering text vertically

I think I remember seeing something on the w3 site about being able to use CSS to render text vertically, does anybody know anything about this??? (not just like a bunch of line breaks, but actually rendering the text sideways) BTW: its for a newsletter so designing it in MS word I can do it easilly enough but it doesnt show up the same after copying and pasting it in a page

No, CSS cannot rotate text. The W3C technical reports use an image to display the status (such as Recommendation, for example).
