Parallax Slider - there is no attribute "data-bgimage"

3) Describe problem: I'm not a validation freak (though I like at least to understand why something is 'invalid' and whether I should care) so can anyone explain how I can get around the error there is no attribute "data-bgimage" I get when I run this Parallax Slider code?
It is a beautiful slider.

It depends what DOCTYPE the web page is being validated against.
"data-" attributes are HTML5

Ah! XHTML. Is that the problem?

Yes - if your doctype were for HTML5, the "data-" attributes would pass validation (against HTML5 rules)
