countingup script - help to make it also display years

Hi,

Can anyone think of how to modify the countingup script, so that instead of showing just the days, minutes and secs since a past event, a modified script instead displays the years. months and days since an expired date?

Here the link to the page where I want to replace (at top of page on yellow background) a script (in years. months and days since) I found elsewhere on the web -- it only works in IE, and it is uselessly falling over in other browsers ... http://www.fathercare.org/discrim.htm

Hi Cr3ative,

Thanks for mailing the link. I tried your scripting attempt by configuring for the past date (1999,12,31).

When viewing in browsers it displays for today's date (2004, 11,19) that:
4 years, 3 months , 19 hours have passed since then. It's obvious that the months are way out!

This demonstrates that not everything that's on the web can be believed!

That aside, what would it take to get a correctly working script? Thanks for now.
