tooltip image positioning

3) Describe problem: mouse over links that are placed on the right or left of a page are OK.
However when a link is placed in the middle of the page the roll over image extends outside the window.

The description of the script states: The script detects for window edges and keeps each tooltip inside it.
Am I missing something?

Those images are too big. A tooltip is meant to be a small informational "balloon". It looks to me like what you want is some sort of popup image gallery. There are some very interesting ones available around the web like fancybox, colorbox, easybox, etc. Dynamic Drive has:
