Hi,

While I was looking for a CSS code for my project, I found this wonderful spotlight menu:

However, what I was looking for is slightly different, so I was wondering if anybody could help me adjust it (I only have very basic knowledge of CSS, but I'd love to learn more). My website will have a dark background and a menu of text buttons with a transparent background created in photoshop (so that you only see the text). I would like to add a mouse-over spotlight to this menu, but the spotlight's color shouldn't be solid, but rather slightly transparent, so that it looks more like an actual spotlight.

It should look similar to this:

or this:

But it should only be around the menu items, and not anywhere else.

Would anybody know how to do this?
I would really appreciate your help!
