    Default Problems with Hybrid Menu

    1) Script Title:
    Responsive Hybrid Menu

    2) Script URL (on DD):
    http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...enu/index.html

    3) Describe problem:

    I am trying out the hybrid menu with the intention of adopting it for the site I manage;
    http://www.castlefordheritagetrust.org.uk/zSandPit.html

    Firstly when I view the menu on a mobile device the links do not work.

    Secondly I would like to make the menu more intuitive as my site contains both drop down menus and single choice menu items.

    Would it be possible to indicate on the main menu where there is a drop down,
    and on the mobile where there isn't a drop down (hide the chevrons).

    Please advise

    John

    To the first problem first. Try the attached modified .js file- do the links work now when in side menu mode?

    Hurrah!

    Yes that has fixed the first problem thank you.

    I'll try out your fix for the second problem when you have had some thoughts on the solution.

    Cheers

    Regarding your other question, I've just updated the official script with the necessary changes to facilitate this (download the updated .js file). It adds a CSS class of "hassub" to LI elements that contain additional ULs. With that extra class, inside your CSS, you can now add the following to hide the right arrow for LI items with no sub menus:

    Code:
    li:not(.hassub) .fa-chevron-right{ /* hide arrow inside LIs with no sub menus */
    	display: none;
    }
    Thanks,

    This is really good stuff thank you.

    We seem to be on a roll here can we go for a hat trick?

    If you look at the site menu as I have configured it when the mouse cursor hovers over a menu item with a drop down the top option grays out.
    The cursor also goes back to the default setting, this means the site visitor picks options from the drop down menu.

    What are your thoughts on this?

    Thanks again
