    Default resize email images

    I want to USE my computer, not play with it. When someone sends a photo in an email, I want to SEE the photo without having to scroll all over the place from here to kingdom come.
    How can I set up my browser ( or gmail account) to AUTOMATICALLY let me just SEE the photo without having to jump through all kinds of hoops (clicking, dragging, changing scripts, jumping up and down, etc...!)

    Does your script handle that somehow all the time, so that, NEXT time I go to my gmail I can count on the images JUST WORKING, and not have to go through all these gyrations ALL. OVER. AGAIN.?

    window.onresize = resizeImg(document.body.clientHeight - 100, document.body.clientWidth - 100);
          function resizeImg(width, height) {
            document.getElementById("img").style.height = height;
            document.getElementById("img").style.width = width;
    }

    </script>
    ...Also, when do you want it to resize to it's original size BTW?

    ...Maybe you want a button..or what...If you're on the decision already, just use the image's id:
    Code:
    document.getElementById("img").style.height = '300px';
    document.getElementById("img").style.width = '300px'
    Hope that helps

    would the script have to be run:
    1. Every time you turn on your computer?
    2. Every time you view a photo?
    3. Every time you log into your email?
    4. ONCE on the computer and henceforth it would be in effect until it was cancelled.

    I want choice number 4. Is that possible? if so, how do I do it?

    I don't think it would be as simple as any of those options, and since the code you are quoting is for use on a web page, not in an email program nor on a computer in general, it might not be applicable at all. If it can be adapted, it would need changes and/or translation to another programming language.

    The answer probably lies in what software you use to view your email. If it has settings or can otherwise be tweaked to control how images appear in it, then you could do that. If not, you could look for an alternative program for reading your email that would have the feature(s) you want. The documentation for the software you're using to view your email should include information about this if it is capable of doing it (that is tweaking how images are viewed). Google might help you to find what can be done in your software if you use its name and the feature you want as search terms.

    What software are you currently using to view email? Is it your browser? If so which one and which version? If not what software and what version of it are you using?

    When someone sends you a photo in an email, he/she should just send you the photo WITHOUT javascript. Code and email are not best friends.
    Or the person should just send you a link to the photo.
