Background Image Carousel - Driving me Insane

Hey guys

Title - Background Image Carousel

So, this is a great little module, and ive managed to get it working on my mediawiki page, quite afew times now, but it always crashes or something (As in, if i'd refresh the page two or three times), and the slideshow screen just stays black.
A bigger problem now is, that it wont even start at all, all i have is just a black screen constantly.


I used the same dev code provided
I've replaced

<script src="bgcarousel.js" type="text/javascript">

with

<script src="http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex14/bgcarousel.js" type="text/javascript">

At first i thought it was perhaps an error with the cycle time, but before i got to test that out, it permanently crashed.
It also isnt an issue with referencing pictures, as the text would atleast show (which it did at first)
Now im thinking, perhaps now its an error relating to calling the script from the dynamicdrive.com website?


Also, Im extremely new to html, and have little knowledge, but this is important to me.
Im also using MediaWiki, provided by the hosts website (Has to stay that way)

Can anybody help? Why am i getting this problem?

It is a problem with referencing the script on Dynamic Drive. Because Dynamic Drive's servers are setup to not allow that sort of hotlinking, unless the script is in your cache, it won't work. If you cannot host the script on your mediawiki page's host, then you will have to find some other third party host for it. This is not an endorsement, but:

looks promising. It was the top result of a search:

https://www.google.com/search?q=Javascript+Hosting

Other items returned looked interesting as well.

And, if you have web space elsewhere - say personal pages provided by your ISP, or have a friend with their own site, if they would allow it, perhaps you can host it there.

Hahaha! NOOOOO! i came on here to close this, figured all that out and even used "yourjavascript" before i read this. it works perfectly now, i cant believe i guessed the problem, correctly haha.
