1) Script Title: Animated Window Opener II

3) Describe problem: With HTML5, when the script is launched, there seems to be either a lockup or system freeze requiring a restart on the Mac using the Safari browser, or so I am told. I have used this script for some time and like it. It tests well on Firefox, Chrome, and IE though the animation speed differs with the different browsers. One other note is that I have the "function" near the </body> tag instead of between the <head> tags, this being prefered in HTML5 for faster loading pages. Any help on the Mac Safari problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well, the script already opts out of Opera. We could have it opt out of Safari Mac as well. Change:

to:

if (window.resizeTo&&!window.opera&&!(navigator.userAgent.indexOf("Safari")>-1&&navigator.userAgent.indexOf("Mac")>-1)) {

The browser cache may need to be cleared and/or the page refreshed to see changes.
