image loading in DD ticker script

Hi and thanks for so much help over the years.

I'm using a DD script, ajax_ticker that worked like a charm at first, but now the image isn't loading. The alt is there and you can see the image placeholder trying to load but it fails. I'm wondering if somehow, both in IE and Firefox, the image is too slow for the ticker? It is RGB and I've tried both png and jpg file types. What the ticker is doing is showing a text review of the website with a small image of star ratings. THis is running on a Linux server. Any insights appreciated.

Maybe the image sizes are too big to load before skipping to the next entry? Have you optimised them?

To check it out properly though, can you post a link to your page and also a link to the source/demo script on DD so we can easily see which ticker script you're using.
