Default Worst-researched lines in movies or TV

I thought about starting a poll, but instead I'll ask for nominations first.

    Mine are:

    1) From Indiana Jones IV:
"I'll translate it through Ancient Mayan" (said in Chile or Argentina, while the Mayans were in Mexico, not to mention that Ancient Mayan isn't well understood, and certainly not in the 1950s when the film was supposed to be taking place)

    2) From "The Following", which premiered tonight:
"Caroll never visited the same web address twice, which suggests he's using various URLs.
    --Who with?
--Well there's the rub. Every time I access an IP address it mutates. It's a fairly sophisticated virus.
--Where were the guards while he was sitting there chatting online?...."

From this week's episode of "The Following":
-they walk into a suspect's house
-"There's internet upstairs, but it looks like he took his laptop and his server with him."

(And to be clear, there is no explanation for either why this individual would have a "server" or how they could be able to carry it with them when leaving the house quickly. Or for that matter, how the internet can be located "upstairs"...)

...but it's entertaining, if sometimes terribly written.

...and why would his server be downstairs if the internet was upstairs?

but then, when they say "server," maybe they mean the guy who stands behind him and feeds him grapes.

    Haha. Perhaps!

(Sorry, the person who said this did walk down from upstairs to report the news. At least I think so.)

I wonder if there's a consulting group out there that writes bad tech lines intentionally...
