Make images load when they enter visible section of browser?

I've some 100 images and I want while you navigate down the page, the images only load when they are in the visible portion of the browser to un-burden the bandwidth. I'm also using 'prettyphoto' script for images to pop-up and slideshow when clicked. I expect this new script should be conflict with 'prettyphoto' script I'm using for the image gallery. Any help?
