1) Script Title: Dynamic Ajax Content

2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...jaxcontent.htm

3) Describe problem: Hi there, I wonder if anyone can help?
I'm setting up a page for a client's site for which I've opted to use the DAC to load content about different products. The current demo can be seen at http://www.creativeph.co.uk/lazerbui...uct-search.php
Essentially the way the page is working is that there is a search facility in the header section incorporating 4 dropdowns to help the visitor narrow down their search results. These results are then listed within a scrolling panel below, then clicking on any of the resulting thumbnail images displays more information about the product in the 'main-inner-wrapper' DIV which is being used by the DAC. All of the product content is held within a MYSQL database so the 'product' page that is loaded into the DIV simply houses php placeholders, not hardcoded content. The script is working great when clicking between the thumbnails, but I'm having an issue with when the page first loads. I found the following code suggestion on another post...

<script>

ajaxpage('test.htm', 'contentarea')

</script>

... which works fine if your loading page is hardcoded, but as my content is database driven it simply loads the 'product' page with the php placeholders and not the content for the first thumbnail.

Does anyone know of a way to overcome this?

I also have the same problem if I try to refresh/reload the page. I found the following post/answer 'http://www.dynamicdrive.com/forums/showthread.php?70546-Dynamic-Ajax-Content-after-refresh' but it gave the same result as the above so I assume the answer to my first problem will resolve this as well.

Finally, is there a way I can apply a transition effect to the 'main-inner-wrapper' DIV when the content changes rather than the current abrupt change?

Many thanks in advance for any assistance.
Kind regards
Paul
