Default Ultimate Fade-in slideshow not SEO friendly

    1) Script Title: Ultimate Fade-in slideshow

    2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...nslideshow.htm

    3) Describe problem: Slideshow is not SEO friendly

After installing the Ultimate Fade-in slideshow on a website, I viewed the website with a text web browser (Lynx) and none of the content in the slides are viewable by the text browser. Which probably means that most search engines spiders are not seeing this content either.

I viewed the script URL of the Ultimate Fade-in slideshow in Lynx and the "peekaboo" content such as "A nice day to get the skates out and go ice skating." it not being seen by the text browser.

Is this normal behavior for this script or can this be addressed?

Yes and yes. If you want your images seen by non-javascript browsers, put them in the fadeshow division. That's the div with the unique id of your slideshow. If you want descriptions or anything else included, you can put that in there too. Once the slideshow starts, these things will all be overwritten. But to non-javascript browsers like Lynx (which of course can't see the images), and search engine spiders (which can't either but will catalog them), that content will be seen and indexed.

Though not required, style in a noscript section in the head can make the content in the fadeshow div scrollable for non-javascript visitors to the page.
