    Default resizeTo()

    hi all
    i am using resizeTo() method of javascript to resize my window.
    it is working fine on Internet Explorer and Netscape but not with Safari(Mac OS).

    Can u plz tell me what must be the reason.

    or is there any other function i have to use for Safari.

    or is there any other way by which i can resize my window on safari

    It's probably not a great idea to go resizing peoples windows. People usually find this very irritating. (Well, I certainly do.)

    If you want a popup window to be a certain size, you can specify that. But normal website? Leave it off.

    Maybe, in it browser these options are disabled by default. For example, in Opera there are options "Allow resizing of windows", moving, raising, ... in preferences.

    Which is exactly why most browsers don't allow the resizing of existing windows by default
