Default Any review section for members?

    Hello Admins,
I am new here and I didn't find any website review section. I currently have two blogs, one website and one directory. I would like to hear user reviews. Can you please open a review section on this forum?

    Waiting to hear from you
    Thanks.

Unfortunately, requests for reviews aren't common enough to solicit their own forum, however, when we do have requests they tend to be either in the lounge or 'other' forums.

And we usually don't accept such requests because they are often more of a ploy to get the site noticed than a sincere request for a review.

If you are a member for a while and have participated in a helpful manner for some time and/or have had several real issues resolved by the members here, then we would consider allowing it.

I think the last time we did an actuall review was for Molendijk, who is nearly an elite coder.

I feel like it would be fine to ask for a review if the member had 100+ posts. That could be the sticky for such a forum. Sadly, I have to agree with bernie1227 that the number of requests just are not common enough to warrant its own forum.

There's just a fine line between asking for help with a specific problem and saying "hey, look at my site". Opening up a specific forum for this is asking for spam, although there have been some posters who've asked about this before. Depending on the exact nature of the post (it's a fine line as I said) it might be fine. If you want help with something specific, feel free to ask for it. But at the same time, do realize that we delete posts and ban users when something looks like spam.

And to me, listing your 4 sites suggests that you're just saying "hey, look at my sites" rather than looking for specific help. You're welcome to stay around for a while and as it is relevant discuss your sites, but we don't allow self-promotion (eg, links to your website) as a primary activity here.

Secondly, our website is about code/web design, not about content. Again, from your post, it's unclear exactly what you wanted to ask about.

As with Daniels post, it is unclear as to what you would need reviewing on the blog. People don't read blogs for display, but for the content within them. 90% of the time, what you think is wrong with it will be what we think is wrong with it. It's your site after all, it's better if you figure ut what's wrong with it than us.

I specifically remember a thread in the lounge about a site which sells cabinets.
