Pm's getting no response

This is mainly aimed at the moderators (1 of you) and the admins (1 of you).
I've sent you both pm's over the last couple of days/weeks and I never got a response... are you not getting the messages or just ignoring me?
No offense, but it's really annoying when I message you about something and you never respond.

I sent djr33 a PM yesterday and haven't gotten a response either. I wonder if they are unfamiliar with the new forum software.

As soon as I saw this I went to check my inbox. There was one (not from either of you) there I hadn't replied to. It's much less noticeable than before. Before it was a little larger in the upper right part of the screen. Even at that, I had to train myself to look for it. Now it's still in the same general vicinity, but smaller and less obtrusive, in a line rather than in a box as it was before. I'll have to retrain myself.

I'll bet that djr33 just hadn't noticed. Probably ddadmin too, but he's not around quite as often and is very busy maintaining the main site, so may not have seen it yet.

I had no idea I had two unread PMs. Looks like something needs to be done about the notifications in the new layout.

Edit: I'll add that I've now replied to both, in case either of you is also having trouble with PM notification.

Ok, that explains it (except for what I said in my reply djr33 about the pm...).

Well, I've received another PM now and when I loaded the forum it had an alert about it. But after that, there's only the very small "notifications" icon at the very top of the page (somewhere I don't often look). I'll probably get used to it, but it still wouldn't hurt to move that somewhere more obvious-- best to just put a number next to "private messages".
