Hello,
I'm having a problem with my website and I'm hoping someone here can help.
If you go to http://www.shahspace.com/nuts_and_bolts/home.html and click on "bits and bites" and scroll down to the images with the captions "Figure 8: Example of a hypercolumn" and "Figure 4c: The lobes of the brain" you'll see the problem.
The problem is that the font style of these captions doesn't match the captions of the other images. I don't kow why. The only difference between these and the other captions is that these ones are in a table whereas the others are not.
The code looks like this:
and the CSS class "bits_and_bites_image" looks like this:Code:... <center> <div class="bits_and_bites_image" style="width: 250px;"> <span> <img src="bits_and_bites_images/flow into Knowledge.jpg" border=1> Flow into Knowledge </span> </div> </center> <br> <br> <div class="bits_and_bites_image" style="width: 100%; margin-left: 50px;"> <table cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0 border=0 style="text-align: center; width: 100%;"> <tr> <td style="width: 300px;"> <span> <img src="bits_and_bites_images/hypercolumn.jpg" border=1> Figure 8: Example of a hypercolumn </span> </td> <td style="text-align: right;"> <div style="width: 300px; text-align: center;"> <span> <img src="bits_and_bites_images/lobes.jpg" border=1> Figure 4c: The lobes of the brain </span> </div> </td> </tr> </table> </div> <br> <br> <div class="bits_and_bites_image" style="width: 500px;"> <span> <img src="bits_and_bites_images/meaning and natural law.jpg" border=1> Figure 30: The correlation between meaning and natural law </span> </div> ...
Why is it that a CSS style like this can be defined in the div which contains the table but it doesn`t cascade down into the table and style the text the same way?Code:div.bits_and_bites_image { font-size: 10pt; text-align: center; }
