There appears to be a flaw in the menu. Menus remain open if you open another menu. Confusing and creates clutter. Can the underlying JavaScript be modified to automatically close any opened menus when a menu is opened?

That is by design actually, but if you wish the main drop down menu to also disappear simply when the mouse rolls out of it, try the below modified .js file.
