    21 days... Perceptual adaption takes 3. I doubt it takes 21 days, probably more along the lines of the perceptual adaption. 10 men wore upside down glasses for 3 days. The 3rd day, everything they saw while wearing the glasses appeared right side up. They took off the glasses and for 3 days everything was upside down again.

    The new layout's ok, I'm sure to the average person it's much more appealing and presentable.

    My only gripe is that whenever people re-design something to look 'better' they always throw in a bunch of gradients, shadows, bevels, rounded corners etc. Such a lame trend I think, its an attempt to make the buttons look my lifelike and thus user friendly, but to me it just looks cheesy and 'cutesy'.

    I would much prefer look at solid colors and vector styled layouts, to me it's a much cleaner look. Also the forum colors kind of clash with the green header at the top, and there's about 5 different shades of blue which isn't really that appealing.

    Also when there's a bunch of gradients/shadows etc. it draws your eyes away from the main draw of the forum with is the content that is being posted. Makes the text seem like an afterthought as the layout is now the 'star' of the forum.

    Just my constructive criticism.

    Honestly, I just want the simple things, like that bar with the latest posts, blogs and top 30 thanks thingy, if someone can tell me where the top 30 thanks is, I will be forever grateful.

    GSimon, generally I agree (and I'm not a fan of the "Web 2.0" look at all). In this case, I'm not sure yet if it's really too much, or if it's just different. There aren't too many gradients or flashy things, but that caught my eye when the page first loaded as well. The graphics appear to distract from the content. But I know my personal tastes are for a much more streamlined look than most would prefer.

    On the other hand, although I was used to it, I never loved the old layout. Something about it felt very mechanical (and it was still a little "busy"). So this may help. I guess I'll go with the three days that Nile mentioned

    Quick reply is working fine for me. keyboard, what browser(s) are giving you trouble?

    I think it works for me now (if you see this, it does) (It was probably just me being a bit retarded)...
    Out of curiosity, what does the +Reply to Thread button do?
    P.s. ddadmin, I've sent you like two pm's (one bout this) and you never reply... are you not getting them (or are you just ignoring me )

    I like the new layout except for 2 things:
    - green/yellow doesn't go well together with blue;
    - the text is palish; reading isn't comfortable any more.

    I agree with Arie, almost the entire forum looks kind of pastel and washed out. The post's text as he points out, also the icons in the listings and editor controls.

    Edit: I think the text in posts was just fixed as I typed this.
