sidepanel script local problem

Locally, using firefox 9, the targeted page loads entirely, showing the entire contents, while the online version shows only the targeted divisions.

As long as it works as intended online I'm happy with that.
But I'd like to know what I can do to make it work locally as well.
Any ideas welcomed.

BTW, I have FF set not to cache.

Hmm I know that Ajax doesn't run locally in certain browsers such as Google Chrome. Not sure if this is the case in FF 9, as in FF 14, it does work.
