Default Persist setting causes Fade-in Slideshow to fail on Chrome

    1) Script Title:
    Ultimate Fade-in Slideshow 2.4

    2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...nslideshow.htm

    3) Describe problem:
When I load my testing homepage in Chrome (Version 20.0.1132.57 -current version) the slide show does nothing for a while and then just displays the loading image. It has worked with that browser at times, but mostly not. I saw there was an updated version of the script that fixes a loading error and uploaded it to my site, but that hasn't changed this problem. Since it works on the other browsers I have available for testing (IE8&9, Firefox 11, and Safari 6.0) I tried to figure out what was causing the problem and discovered if I change the persist setting from true to false, the slideshow plays fine. I have Chrome cookies set to [Allow local data to be set (recommended)]. I can live with having persist disabled, but was wondering if you have any other suggestions.

    Thanks for your help.

Works fine here in a local mock up of the page with persist true (Chrome 20.0.1132.57 m).

BTW, there's no point in persist: true, if you also have randomize: true.
