    Default norton protected files?

    the new version of norton has changed my trash bin, and it says i have 1500 norton protected files when i go to clear it. what are these, and is it safe to purge them?

    wait i think i got it, does norton save a back up copy of everything? cuz i looked at them and their all files i have deleted.

    Please, please tell me you haven't PAID for norton.

    Yes, it replaces your recycle bin. It's OK to empty them.

    Can't beat free with a stick with a nail in it. The Norton's Recycle bin just makes it so you can go through your entire recycle bin file by file, in case you delete something that shouldn't have been deleted, and recover it rather easily. Not that bad for when you miss the right click paste. Don't install nortons ghost if you are using any NT kernal system, as it tends to really screw XP up bad.
