Script won't run in Safari
1) Script Title: Ultimate Fade-in Slide Show
2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...nslideshow.htm
3) Describe problem: I'm running an older version of this script: v. 1.5
Script works fine on Windows browsers, but not at all on Safari in either iPhone or Mac air. If I upgrade to version 2.0 can I expect the problem to be resolved. I started down this upgrade road but stopped as the approaches to scrips and variables are considerably different and I didn't want to dent my sword if this is going to be a futile effort. Thanks.

With your iPhone or Mac air, go to the demo page of the new version and see.
With both scripts, the onmouseover/onmouseout actions of displaying descriptions (if any, only available in the newer version), and of pausing/resuming the show have no meaning in touch devices. They work fine in Safari on a laptop or desktop, but not on a touchscreen in any browser.
1.5 had no support for fading in Safari/Webkit/Chrome/Konqueror that was added later in 1.51:

Version 2.0 and later (it's up to 2.4 now) also has that support.
If your slideshow has no links and if you want descriptions you can use the descreveal: always option, it should be fine, provided the fading works OK on the demo page in those devices.
Even with links, it would be OK-ish. Touchscreen users can't pause the slideshow though to get a clear shot at the link so might hit the wrong one by accident.
If the slideshow were in manual mode with controls (both options that can be easily set), it would be fine though.
And there's Extra Buttons:

which would allow for a pause/play button and other controls the stock script still lacks.
There's also a script:
http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...army/index.htm
that would be good for that in manual mode with button controls. It also has support for fading in those browsers. And is more like Ufade 1.5 as far as the config goes.

I should have realized that the new version ran fine in Safari...Ummm...I was looking at the demo on my Mac! I'll give the new version a shot.
Thanks
