Open a new browser window on clicking a link

Hi there!

I am using the Pausing Up-Down Scroller which has links. The content of these links can be modified as per your choice. It is observed that on clicking the link the parent page refreshes whereas I want the link to open a new browser window.

Can anybody tell me how to do that? I tried giving a 'target=_blank' and it dosent work.
