I am new to Javascript, obviously! I am trying to combine two functions in one document so when I mouseover/mouseout of "Glow" it glows, and when I mouseover/mouse out "Drop Shadow" it shows a drop shadow.
Each one works seperately but when I try to combine them they either both glow or the dropshadow shows up but doesnt go away on mouseout.
I have been fumbling around with it for days to no avail. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have tried so hard to teach myself and have spent a tremendous amount of time trying to learn this.
Here is the code, first the drop shadow;
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
------start drop shadow
<html>
<head>
<style>
a
{
color:black;
height:25;
font:bold;
text-decoration:none;
}
</style>

<script type="text/javascript">
var i
function dropshadow()
{
i=0
interval=setInterval("makedropshadow(myDrop)",10)
}

function back()
{
clearInterval(interval)
myDrop.style.filter=false
}

function makedropshadow()
{
i++
if (i<7)
{
myDrop.style.filter="dropshadow(offx=" + i + ")"
myDrop.style.filter="dropshadow(offy=" + i + ")"
}
else if (window.interval)
{
clearInterval(interval)
}
}

</script>

</head>

<body>

<a id="myDrop" onmouseover="dropshadow()"
onmouseout="back()"><h1>Drop Shadow</h1></a>
</body>

</html>
-----end drop shadow
--------------------------------------------------------start glow
Now the glow;
<html>
<head>
<style>
a{color:black;width:150;font:bold;}
</style>
<script type=text/javascript>
var obj
var i

function glow()
{
obj=this
i=0
interval=setInterval("makeglow()",10)
}
function back()
{
clearInterval(interval)
obj.style.filter=false
}
function makeglow()
{
i++
if (i<5)
{
obj.style.filter="glow(color=#FF00FF,strength=" + i + ")"
}
else if (window.interval)
{
clearInterval(interval)
}
}
</script>

</head>
<body>
<a id=test1><h1>Glow</h1><br><br></a>

<script>
var links=window.document.anchors
for(var i in links)
{
links[i].onmouseover=glow
links[i].onmouseout=back
}
</script>

</body>
</html>
-------------------------------------end glow

I have a theory that I have tried to implement, but my inexperience has proven to be a major obstacle! Here it is;(I need to do a mouseover/mouseout to cause the text to wave but I have not tried it yet
On the page it would just show;
Glow
Drop Shadow
Wavy Text and each one on mouseover/mouseout would do just that. So here is what I think I should do;
----------start of theory

<html>
<head>

<body onload="glow();makedropshadow();doanother()">

<!------------SCRIPT GLOW-------------->
<script>
function dothat(){
"
"
"
}
</script>
<!------------END OF SCRIPT GLOW--->

<!-------------SCRIPT DROP SHADOW---------------->

<script>
function dothis(){
"
"
"
}
</script>
<!------------END OF SCRIPT DROP SHADOW------>

<!-------------SCRIPT WAVY TEXT---------------->
<script>
function doanother(){
"
"
"
}
</script>
<!------------END OF SCRIPT WAVY TEXT------>

</body>
</head>
</html>
--------end stupid theory Thanks again for any help.
