Simple Controls Gallery v1.4 won't display where I want

3) Describe problem: Hi, I hope someone can help please. I am using this script and it's working perfectly in IE. However, in Firefox and also Chrome it is displaying the pictures in the slideshow over the top of my webpage and right in the top left hand corner instead of where I am placing the <div id="simplegallery1"></div> in the page.
The control bar is also across the entire page instead of just under the pictures.
I have made sure it's centered on the page and put center tags around it but it's not working.
Any help would be gratefully received.
