Help with my website and ddSmothmenu

Hello, I'm trying to change the script of ddsmothmenu used on my website (http://bandsevents.altervista.org).
The scrips simply opens a vertical menu when the mouse in on one of the menu's buttons/sections...(it's hover option).
I'd like to have the opening of the menu when someone clicks on it(onclick) and the closing with another click...
Can someone help me pls?

Im not sure but maybe in the http://bandsevents.altervista.org/js/ddsmoothmenu.js

you should try to replace some hovers for onclick, sometimes that works, i dont know anything about scripts, i use css most of the times, but sometimes, trying to change one at time, or look into the code, sometimes just reading the code gives you the idea of what it does,

Try the below modified .js file, which changes the menu behavior so the sub menus are revealed onclick of their respective header. The sub menus still collapse onmouseout, however, as getting them to also collapse onclick is a lot more involved (and arguably a lot less elegant).

Well i was asking for this help also because I was trying to help this script to be more useful for everybody...I think that it is a really good script but right now with all the touch screen devices that are used to go on the internet make a script that works only with "hover" in something that will make a website not accesible from those devices...
So my request for a script that works "on click" was actually a way to make ddsmothmenu more useful...
Maybe you know how to make the closing when there is no hover after few seconds...like 10 sec?
