Dude, where's my slideshow?

Did anybody else have their slideshows just disappear for about 15 minutes? I was working on my homepage making tweaks (NOT to the slideshow) when the slideshow portion disappeared. I undid what I was working on... no slideshow. I re uploaded my back up copy... no slideshow. Starting to sweat. Uploaded back up back up... still no slideshow. Emptied cache. No slideshow. Just about to heave when I copy and pasted the same index I've always worked with and suddenly voila... the slideshow's back.
How could it disappear if that's not even something I was working on in the page? Had to have been from the dynamic drive end... don't you think?

Nope and Nope. Possibly the Google ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/ server which supplies jQuery went down for a bit. But it could have been any number of things.
