I'm assuming you used the social_tools option to do that replacing (depending upon which doc you worked from):

or:

{location_href}

with the url to vacations/index.php page.

If not, I'd have to see the page to tell you if it worked or not. If successful, doing that will make a like for any image a like for the index.php page with no reference to the individual image. And at that rate you might want to revert to using the deeplinking: false option to preserve the functionality of the user's browser's back button. There's a further step we could take on that. Even with deeplinking false, Pretty Photo adds a hash on close. We should probably see about disabling that, as it too messes with the browser's back button.

The Like button being disabled might have to do with FaceBook. Don't they have a mechanism in place that only allows you to like something once? If so, and you already 'voted', that might be why.

Or it might be some setting in Firefox - like cookies disabled, or something. Go to other places with Like buttons and see if they're enabled or not. If they are enabled, try them, see if anything odd happens that refuses the vote.
