Matthew, You (and probably Michael too, if I could see his page) would really be better off updating. What's the problem there? Does it mess up your other jQuery script? It doesn't have to. Does it alert if the fadeslideshow.js script is included on a page without a slideshow? It doesn't have to.

Is only required to pull in the page's resources from its home domain. It may be removed once the page is in its proper location on the armstrongjordan.com server.
The fadeslideshow.js script may be made external again, and should as it would then represent a significant savings in bandwidth and performance over the 1.51 version and even itself if used on the page on all those pages. But use the modified version from the demo page which has the jQuery.noConflict() and one alert commented out.
Any questions, feel free to ask. Also, if it causes any problems I haven't anticipated, let me know. They can probably be dealt with.
That all said, here's a version of the old script that fixes the problem. But it's not as smooth as the updated version, especially when the page isn't cached yet, and that's in all browsers as it was before this fix - something to be taken seriously:
