Two Script Problems

I plan on using either one of two window scripts, either modeless windows, or the DHTML iframe window, depending on which I can get to work first.
My problem with modeless windows is that it never shows updated content. I could be changing the content of a page which is displayed in the modeless window but the old page would stil lbe displayed. How can I fix this? My second issue with modeless windows is any links found in the window are opened in new windows. Again how can I stop this from occuring? I just want any links which are found in the modeless window to stay in the modeless window.
Secondly, my problem with the DHTML window is that my layout for my webpage is in frames, therefore whatever page has the link to the DHTML window in it, will open the window. But this page is a rather small menu frame, and the DHTML window needs ot be rather big. How can I select what frame I would like the DHTML window to open in?
